Default drive belt

i purchased the 1 inck shorter drive belt but it wouldnt slip on like the old one came off. put belts side by side and hardly any diff. just1 inch shorter like it supposed to be . trick to it or what> thanks kingpin

Be sure you are backing the sheave up and pushing it open all the way with the brakes set.

I always put them on the drive clutch then roll them on the driven, I leave the cart in neutral when putting them on. I have heard some guys use the engine (turning it over) to roll it on the driven but have never tried that.

ive tryed all of the above still no luck. just cant get it on but so close its pitiful, just lack that little bit. kingpin

I put mine on when I was replacing the motor. I would have hated to try to put mine on without doing it that way.

If it is that close remove the two front motor bolts and lean the motor back a fartskin......
