Default OH so sad

Well I took my FE290 which is a 2002 year model to a repair shop for a piston over haul.got it back and installed it 3 hours ago and has good spark but blowing gas out the end of carb.the end that the air filter connects to...so what could be wrong.i did not have the carb worked on.oh I just had a gravity feed tank installed just to get it running.my new tank and pump should be here this week.yall think the gravity flow could cause a issue?

Check the rotation when your trying to start it!
The drive clutch should be turning Clockwise!
if not... you have your S/G wires are hooked up backwards!

Excessive fuel pressure could be overwhelming the float. Try putting the top of gravity tank level with the carb.

Ok checked the rotation all is good there.i took the rigged gravity tank off and let the engine set for awhile.it did back fire one or 2 times but then it shot out mist of gas again from the air filter end of the carb.also took off the OHV cover and both valves are moving ..so what now????
