07 PDS upgrades
So here is the deal. I am about to pull the trigger on some upgrades.
All these will be going on about the same time when I tear it apart for the body and paint. I will be 36v for a LITTLE WHILE BUT PLAN TO GO UP TO 48 MID SUMMER. sorry cap lock I am looking at 6 inch lift, 22x10 rims and tires, 4 leaf hd rear springs, Alltrax DCX500pds, 4g cables. I was looking at the HD solenoids and they make 48 and 36 v versions. Can I use a 48v solenoid till i upgrade from the 36 or should I get a 36 volt solenoid and resistor till I get the new Batts? Alltrax recommends using a HD solenoid not the stock one when you swap out the controller. Keeping the stock motor for now but what is a good motor for general on and off road use nothing stressful on the cart hill wise planned. I saw a admiral motor for the PDS rated at 8.5 hp but no other spec than a 21 MPH speed and I assume with the larger diameter tires the speed wil also come up if I set it that way. I figure I need torque to haul the 4 large adults around the camp ground trails. |
