1982 G1 compression ???
What should it be ?? I checked the Yamaha site and it only goes back to 1984. I know the 82 was a different year with a "low compression" engine. Can anyone help? Thanks ahead of time. Mike
I have a PDF of the service manual but could only find that the compression is 5.7 to 1. Is there a way to figure what that would transpose to on a compression tester? (Hope I'm not being too dumb about this.) Mike |

Re: 1982 G1 compression ???
Thanks Smallblock and THANKS for all your help the last few days. Just can't figure why the cart has no poop. It starts off good but gets slower and slower as it warms up. I suspect the crank seals have finally given up the ghost. I know they have been leaking a bit the last year or so and the cart has become progressively weaker. Do you ever have to replace the rings?? Mike
