My thinking- Big Block, V twin (any brand / size), 2 cyl Opposed.
Small Block, any stock engine, any single cyl engine.

LOL! I was gonna say 454=big block; 305=small block. Rifter beat me to the punch.....nice one~!

I think big block is any engine that is not stock that is larger than the original engine.

38 CI. and larger are really big blocks i think ....who knows is it a chevy ??? ....lol what happened????

Anything bigger than stock.

I guess you could call the big singles a "Medium Block"..
