Default G1--One thing after another #@$%^

Well, after going through all this stuff with the battery on the G! I decided to put on a new air filter and fuel filter today. The battery was up and after jacking it up I checked the charging system again- it teste12.7 volts off, 13.4 volts at 1/2 throttle and 15.5 volts at full throttle. So I put it back together, dropped the top and took off AT ABOUT 1 to 2 mph and that's all it would do. I drove it about 1/4 mile and it simply would not go any faster. The engine seemed to be running fine but the cart had no power whatsoever. Any ideas?? Mike

Hello. Is the fuel filter on in the correct direction? I would try putting the original fuel filter back on or by-passing the fuel filter to make sure its not the new one. Maybe some debris in the fuel line? My gas cap was not letting air in and i would drive for about 1/2 hour and no power, took me a while to figure it out. MikeB

If you bat is at full charge you should not see 15.5 volts at full throttle. It looks like your voltage regulator is not doing its job. You are pumping 15 amps into a fully charged battery. It will boil the plates.

I checked the filter and had it in the right direction. I cleaned the gas cap and left it a little loose. No improvement. Mike
