G29 need increase stopping power.
looking to replace the brakes, preferably just the shoes on my G29. it is lifted with bigger tires and id like a little better stopping power. brakes seem slightly spongy at times.
I cannot find information ANYWHERE on the WWW. I dont want to upgrade to disc or anything, just want some stronger drum brakes. Any ideas? |

Re: G29 need increase stopping power.
What year is it? I thought the G29's had the wet brakes inside the transmission. they should be more than Adequate unless they're damaged (from someone using the wrong fluid in the trans perhaps).

Re: G29 need increase stopping power.
its a 2016 with standard drum brakes, not the internal wet brakes... Current brakes work as ive taken them apart and cleaned but due to lift, wheel and tire size id like a little more stopping power.

G29 need increase stopping power.
His other posts seem to mention it might be a 2016, in which case it would be normal wheel brakes again. Not 100% sure the year though.
