Problem with rebuild

Hello all,
You might remember me asking about rebuilding a G2 golf cart. Any ways I did it and it ran good and no more smoke!

Now after about a day of ridding I started to blow fuses and now all it does when I hit the gas is blows the fuse?

So I am kinda wondering what I screwed up here. Also it won't start now. When I put it in reverse and I hear the buzzer and the second I hit the gas the buzzer goes off and when I let off the gas the buzzer goes back on.
So what kind of problems do you think i have,

Wiring? OR a wire has shorted or come off?

Any Ideas where to start?

I guess knowing where to start would begin with how and what you took apart. I would start with the wires leaving the vicinity of te micro switch @ the gas pedal and work back from there. If you dont have a wiring schematic Id advise you to get one and as in any situation check one wire at a time.

Where is the best place to get one?

Make sure nothing (accessory lights, radio, etc....) is grounded to the frame anywhere. On a Yamaha, all accessories have to be grounded to the neg. post of the battery. If not, it will blow the main fuse every time.

Spriddles right again. Standard fuses are 10 amp. When we install accessories we upgrade to 20 amp main fuse. This could cure your problem, or "smoke" the wire harness where the real "short" is. Nice to see you post again, sorry your having this problem. Later Dave

Well thanks for you help guys. I figured out I had crossed to wires and I switched them and presto it worked! Thanks again guys

It's always good when it turns out to be a simple fix. Too bad some of the most simple things can be the most troublesome in the beginning.
