How to replace club/ball washer
My ball/club washer bristles have worn out on a 2001 DS so I want to replace it. However I see it is attached to the bottom of the plate that clips to the rear fender guard. I see there are 6/8 clips that hold it on so I have taken those out but it looks like the washer is screwed in from under the wheel arch....how do I get to the screws to get it off? Is the wheel arch easy to remove?
Thanks Gary Last edited by gmwinder; 07-22-2014 at 07:48 AM.. Reason: Added comments |

Re: How to replace club/ball washer
Gary, It never occurred to me that carts were actually used to play golf so I have no earthly idea. Maybe try the owners manual or stick around and Crash test dummy will post a very helpful diagram soon. He is a cart wizard and evidently a computer genius.

Re: How to replace club/ball washer
You can pull the wheel arch out a little and get your hand in there with a tool to remove the screws, or you can remove the wheel then the wheel arch. It has spacers where it attaches, don't loose them. Or you can remove the top of the club washer, there are screws under the lip, I think six of them, that is the way I did mine.

Re: How to replace club/ball washer
Mine is a Coleman brand and doesn't attach as per the diagram so I think I'll take the wheel off and remove the wheel arch.
Thanks GW |
