Insurance questions
2007 Club Car Precedent. 48 volt.
Trying to write a policy. What would the cost new be for this cart. I estimated about $5500. Also what is the HP usually? I told her about 5 HP. (I know it doesn't do a wheelie soooo) Told her I would look it up and get back but don't see a lot on Google, just upgrades. |

Re: Insurance questions
depends on if you are doing a replacement value, or current market value, HP around 3
A plain jane cart straight off the course can be had for 2k or under |

Re: Insurance questions
Some companies systems are set up either to show a cost new or a value. This system asks specifically for a cost new and then is set up to either do replacement value or depreciation value.
It really does not need to be exact and I am sure they would put in whatever I tell them but am I around the general ball park at guessing $5500 new? |

Re: Insurance questions
My neighbor bought a new electric Precedent in 2008. Sticker was about $7K including lights and some minor upgrades like nice hubcaps and aftermarket dash. Configured for golf so no rear seat.
HP is in the 3-4 range I think. |

Re: Insurance questions
Some homeowners policies will cover the cart a lot cheaper than a stand alone policy!!

Re: Insurance questions
Great idea. I'll ask when I get her on the phone again today.
I'll also have to see if that would meet the campground liability requirements or if it just covers theft, etc. |

Re: Insurance questions
should cover both. The liabilty Ins. will extend over from the Homeowners policy.

Re: Insurance questions
I asked about the Homeowners coverage and this company does not offer coverage under the Home policy.
I got full coverage however at $67 a year so they do me pretty good usually. |

Re: Insurance questions
That is the issue we have. Homeowners won't cover it. We went with Foremost. Seems like the policy was right reasonable.
