CC Precedent Brake Adjustment
How do you adjust the brakes on a CC Precedent? I installed an All-Sports 6" A-Arm lift kit this weekend and had to stretch the brake cables about 1/4" which tightened the brakes. Is there a way to adjust?

Re: CC Precedent Brake Adjustment
Glad to hear the lift went well!
Remove the floor mat. You'll see an access cover. Remove the cover and you'll find the adjuster for the brake cables. My guess is that you'll have marginal success as the black cover on the drivers side cable is probably stretched to its limit. I have the same problem and still looking for a solution. Someone suggested swapping the brake plates bolted to the axles so the brake actuator is on the top instead of the bottom. This involves removing the axles which does not look like an easy job. |
