Default A couple G22 questions

I'm new to the golf cart thing and so far you guys have been very helpful.
I have 2006 G22 w/ Mikuni carb. It has a 87.5 main jet and on the forum it seems that .046 range is the starting point with modded air box. I use a dial caliper and torch drills and my Dyno Jet kit to find out that .046 is approx #120 jet range. 87.5 is a long way from #120. 87.5 seems small to me. What do you guys think???
Also, does anyone have pictures of g16 or g22 muffler being gutted?
Lastly, does anyone run a steering stabilizer on their cart? If so pictures would be great. Thanks

Only thing I can suggest is try your carb. and jet with a k&n type filter and test out the results. Don't have any pic's of a gutted G16 muffler but it is a good idea if your modding out the carb./intake area. More air/fuel in means you'll need more air out. For the stabilizer, this is actually something I have always wanted to try and almost did one time on an Ezgo. My opinion is this is definitely worth looking into to help with the side to side sway. Keep us posted on the carb results. Just be mindful of your rpm's on this little engine and I would run a good syn. like Mobil 1. Amsoil and RP are even better but very expensive.

spriddle, thanks for the info. I am going to try the k&n style filter and do some tweaking on the carb and muffler.
I was actually researching the steering stabalizer this morning. I will keep you post with what I find out and I'll post some pictures.

That would be great. I am curious to see if this will help with the side to side sway you get on paved roads. Just really be careful that you don't install this thing where it could get caught up in the steering somehow. You sure don't won't your wheel locking in place. I had purchased a stabilizer for a vehicle for mine. It was pretty large and I really couldn't find a place to mount it but I really didn't spend too much time on it. I had wondered if one or two of the higher pressured hood/trunk shocks for a vehicle would've been a better choice. Just something to think about since they are smaller.
