Turn Signals / Brake w/o reducer
Howdy BGW Forum,
New user and new owner. I have a 2003 DS with a light kit from the dealer. I think the headlights are OEM, but the tail lights are aftermarket. Dealer said that the lights they use work with 16v and don't need a voltage reducer. If I want to install turn signals and brake light (using the existing taillights) will I have to get a voltage regulator, or can I "risk it" with the 16v system, and will the typical turn signal and brake light switch work on 16v? Thanks, Jim |

Re: Turn Signals / Brake w/o reducer
I think you will find the (WEAK) point in 16 volts usage for turn signals will be the turn signal ( FLASHER UNIT )? They are very voltage and amperage sensative. I doubt whether a HD flasher or 24 volt unit will work correctly?
