Default G-16 dumb question!!!!!

I have a 1999 g16 gas cart and I was wondering if there was some kind of battery charging system on it already or if ya need to add something. I can ride forever with the all the lights on,stereo going, and its never died or acted low on juice. I did notice that when I am not moving and then take off that my lights get brighter. I was considering putting an extra batter under the rear seat for all my electronic extras and mounting a solar panel on the roof. What do you think? I am new at this!!!

the reason the lights go dim is because they don't charge very good at low idle. but yes they do have a charging system.

If you add the solar and it works let us know the Indian question, How and How much. We RV'ers might want to look into.

Don't mess with the extra battery or solar panal. Your cart has a starter that also charges the battery once past a certian RPM (once the motor starts) and sounds like it is working properly.

The only gain you will get with anything solar is a lighter wallet!!!
