Default Liitle help with throttle setting on DCX500 please...

Is there some way to get the throttle to 100% right from the start? No matter which profile or how I have the throttle up rate set, it takes about 2 seconds for the throttle to actually reach 100%.

Terry, I think that is about as fast as the Alltrax will get to 100%. All of my charts looked like that, with ramp up set to highest. This is whiplash protection! Logisystems has the fastest ramp up, I think 1 second to 100% in their race controllers, but they are currently shut down

Well that's no fun. I'd vote for a little whiplash on mine!! I see all these carts with these wheels up launches and mine doesn't even have a hint of pulling the wheels up.

Every Sepex cart I have driven (including AC carts) have sloppy throttle response. The Series carts seem to react much faster.

Well that's no help either, G.

The irritating thing to me is that it is instant on in reverse and so sloppy in forward. It'll throw you over the windshield in reverse.

Mine is the same way T. You feel it like crazy in reverse. It will give you forward
Whip lash but in forward it's like okay where did the feeling go.

Terry, also with 8:1's it will take a lot of amps (torque) to pull the wheels up. Jumping from 12.44:1 to 8's kills your low end torque and most of the guys pulling the wheels up are pushing much more than 500 amps. I wouldn't worry, you're losing mph when they pop up....but, I does look cool! Do you spin the wheels pretty good? If so a taller tire may give you a wheelie. If the power is there the small tire will break lose, larger tire will have more traction and lift it up. Reverse??? Spin your axle around and drive in reverse!! Just undo the 1/2 speed cable!

I had quite a bit of chatter on the launch before adding the bars to the suspension. The bars fixed that so the launch is very smooth now with almost zero wheel spin. Just wish the launch was more violent.

The testing I did showed that the 300' times and mph were actually better with the 8:1 gears vs the 12.44:1 gear. I really expected the low end to suffer with the higher gear but the motor is pulling 150 more amps with the 8:1's which is obviously offsetting the gear and then some. The cart is 1/10 sec. or so quicker and about 3 mph faster at 300' after the gear change. I'm super happy with the 8:1's but might try 6:1's later to see what happens. I'd strongly considered getting a DCX600 but was told that it probably would not make any difference. I'd like to try it for myself but it's a bunch of money to spend on something that "might" work better. It kinda surprised me that the motor pulled 584 amps with the DCX500. The motor is running so cool that I feel like we could show it some more amps and not hurt anything.

Cool. Also, the colder the Alltrax's are the more amps you can slip past them. Least I've seen, well also one of their techs said this as well. He told me if I had time to disconnect between races and put my controller in a ziplock bag, put it in my cooler and it would let more amps thru. I found with my AXE 7245 I could get up to 693 amps thru it for a second, even though rated for 450amps.

Sounds like you got a good motor, torque and speed....it's hard to have both.

Interesting. Makes sense that the cooler the controller stays the better it should perform. I've been very impressed with the D&D motor so far. Not the fastest that I've seen but seems like it will take about anything that one could dish out. The torque is amazing especially for a speed motor. We're building a cage for my cart now. You ever considered on for your cart? It might be pretty scary if you had an issue at the speeds your cart runs!
