I am installing a installing a 36V LED Battery Charge Indicator and need a little help.
There was no wiring diagram with the meter. I need to know what the C terminal is for? I have the - terminal going to batteries and the + going to the switch, but it will not work.

Same old story all the time people trying to get meters cheap from unknown suppliers and end up with NO INSTRUCTIONS? I hook similiar style meters directly to the positive pack cable lead going to solenoid and negative pack lead on the last battery in pack on drivers side ( check with meter to confirm 36 volts ). I add a inline 5 amp fuse for protection. By hooking this way you get best readings and the constant hook up wont pull pack voltage down enough to make any difference? If it bothers you could add a switch on dash before meter to turn off when not needed.
One brand of meter commonly used has 4 terminals ( looking from back ) #1 upper left, #2 upper right, #3 lower right, #4 lower left.
To hook up
#1 terminal is connected to battery pack positive lead
#2 terminal to battery pack negative ground
#3 terminal NOT USED
#4 terminal goes to switchable lead coming from dash switch
This is not to say this is how your unknown brand is hooked up?

I would put fuses both from lead coming from switch and as I said before one at battery pack PLUS as well, both 3-5 amp.
I like your area near Beaumont but being disaabled I cant run fast enough anymore especially when hurricanes come that way? Where I live is about 10-12 miles from ocean ( San Benito ) so it gives me time to get my handicap scooter loaded and then fight 60-80 thousand cars and trucks all going the same direction on highway 77-83???

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but these LED meters are generally a POS.
Check the specs on this unit, most of them are made in China and are nearly useless. The cheapies will leave you with completely dead batteries before it even gets to 1/2 of the LED's lit, they show a full charge at 49v and drop 1/2v per LED which puts your battery pack dead at LED #5.
The only really dependable ones are the Curtis ones and usually cost $65+.
