212 predator in a hyundai clutch issue
so i bought a hyundai gas cart for super cheap 180 bucks and it is pretty good shape, everything was there except for engine and drive clutch, so i found a guy selling a brand new in box predator 212cc for 60 bucks so i gt that too, i bought the 3/4 shaft taper adapter from vegascarts and i mounted a club car drive clutch that i had on the engine, i mad a motor mount and got the engine in and driving around, my question is, the drive belt is not going down all the way into the driven clutch, the belt is also not going all the way up in the drive clutch also, the engine is revving enough that the belt should be moving all the way up/down i the clutchs but its not, could the secondary spring have too much tension for this setup

CC use 1" wide belts in most carts, I think the hyundai used a 1 3/16 I will assume since it seemed to be a copy of a G9 in many ways. You also need slack at rest around 1.5" if you push down in the center. It should be at top of driven secondary at rest.

Hyundai copied Yamaha but used a club car 1" rear clutch
It can be upgraded with cpp's or vc heavy duty club car secondary though |

Re: 212 predator in a hyundai clutch issue
yes the driven is a 1" clutch as well as the club car drive, like i said it seems like the drive clutch spring has too much tension or something and not letting it open all the way, the drive clutch is not seized or anything wrong with it and the belt has enough slop in it, maybe a little too much but only a little
