Default New Batteries... too much voltage?

As I posted a couple weeks ago, since I replaced my batteries on my 99 EZGO, it has stopped working consistently. I press on the gas and I get 4 green flashes and then constant green but cart wont move. I replaced the accelerator micro switch and the ITS. Now sometimes the cart moves and then quits somewhere along the way or never moves at all.(basically the same thing it did before i replaced those two parts). At full charge the batteries show 51 to 52 volts.(the cart was converted to a 48 volt cart) It has an Alltrax NPX controller.

Is it possible these new batteries are charging up too far and the controller won't let the cart move?

Thanks for any help.

Alan

NPX is not programmable. It may be possible the "Max voltage" slider is locked in a position lower than max controller is capable of. This is only a theory, and i dont use the non-programmable models, so im not sure. 51-52v is very normal for 48v pack at full charge.

Thanks. Are you saying that there is a movable slider that I can adjust even though the controller is not programmable?

I am saying it is not programmable, so if that turns out to be the problem, you may be out of luck.

Thats not it at all. What im saying is- If you bought the non programmable controller configured for 36v, its "max voltage" setting may be too low for use on 48v, and you cant change it because you saved money with the non programmable model. You did not say if the controller was ordered for use on 36v or 48v.

That controller has worked fine for 4 years. It was put in with the new set of batteries that was bought 4 years ago. They were from sam's and i thought maybe they didn't charge as high as the US batteries are.

If it isn't the batteries and the controller is giving me green lights then you got any other thoughts? Solenoid clicks when I press the the throttle.
