Default Carburetor Part No. Clarification

By process of elimination I believe my utility cart is a 2002 G21. The engine sticker has one JR6 number and the cab has another JR6 number (JR6000202 and JR6100235). It also says YYMXS3572EB.

I have reviewed the Yamaha parts catalog for several model numbers and it appears that the carburetor assembly for this model is also a "JR6" number (JR6-14101-00-00). The G20 models begin with a "JN6" number and the carburetor assembly for 2001 and 2002 G20s also begin with this prefix.

I think what I am asking is does this seem logical and correct--the prefix on the carburetor assembly would correspond to whatever model the cart is?

I'm asking because I see plenty of "JN6" carburetors online but no "JR8". But something tells me a JN6 isn't what I need.

Thanks.

The jr6-14101-00-00 carb is used on the jr6 (357cm) engine. But there expensive, I normally just clean them. To be honest, you could also use a jn6-14101-15-00.

The part number is stamped on the Yamaha carb. Not sure about others.
