Where does this connect?

I have a 1995 g9. I am in the process of putting in a new harness. I have one plug on the new harness that I have no idea what it connect to. The wiring diagram that everybody shares on here shows no such plug.....or maybe I am blind. It is a 2 prong plug. It has a pink wire and a red/white wire. It comes out of the harness right where the back up switch plug comes out. I am stumped. Please help!!!!

Perhaps the reverse buzzer switch on the shifter?

There's sometimes a microswitch on the shifter for the reverse buzzer. Probably plugs into that.

Connect a multi meter to it and see what energizes it.

My guess is that it's a replacement harness, probably designed to fit all years of G2 and G9, of which they probably used a few different switches for the reverse buzzer. Yours uses the 3 pin switch, others may use the 2 pin. But they put both in there so everybody is covered. I'd bet dollars to donuts if you pulled back the harness you'd see those wires splice into the pink and red wires on the connector you're using for the reverse switch.
