Server outage

I apologize for the outage today. We had some corruption in the database, tried repairing it several times but the server load kept going through the roof every time we tried and it ended up corrupting the database even more. We had to install a backup copy from 10-1-14.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if we have resolved the issues with the memory errors, however it is being worked on. Also looking for a new hosting provider.

It's working much better right now. All of the old slow reactions are gone.

Yes sir, unfortunately so. Hosting provider SAYS they do backups every other night but I could only go back as soon as 10-1....

I appreciate all the help we have gotten in the past few days.

Unfortunately, a lot of people that have joined or new threads that have been posted within the last six days do not exist anymore

. Like everybody else, I lost some posts from my post count as well

Yup, gone for good. Thats one reason I'm searching for a new provider...how can you say "every other day" when the latest is 6 days old. I can't blame the provider, its not their "responsibility" to keep this place up and running but when they provide a service and listed in part of that service is backups every other day then they should do back ups every other day.

Its better than last time.....I think last tie we lost a month or so.

It looks like there's still some scramble in the VBulletin DB - I tried to go to the first new post in http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...enovation.html
and it took me to this page. (I'm using the "Smooth II" skin and was clicking on the blue arrow icon next to the thread subject, FYI).

Could it be that you did that on purpose so folks would know about missing posts since 9/30?

Anyway... thanks for all you do to keep BGW going - it's been a valuable resource for me (and many others).

It does kinda blow that we lost all the people that joined in Oct, hopefully they come back and realize that this hardly ever happens!
