![]() Just bought my first cart after hanging around for awhile. Looking for a 3-6 inch lift. Leaning towards the super sport all sports A arm kit, but open to others. I am leaning this way only because I haver heard the ride might be a bit better. I am putting a cart together for our cabin. We have flat ground with trails that are not super smooth but not really rough. Any lift should provide enough clearance. Our land is pretty much rock free. At the end of my project I want a cart that has some better clearance and a decent ride quality. Some carts I have been on have been really stiff!
I do have a rear seat on the cart and am considering HD springs but again will be riding it a lot more with just one or two people so I don't think I probably need them. Particularly if they will significantly effect ride quality Tires and wheels don't need to be fancy, but functional. Steel wheels would suffice and a good quality with some offroad tread that can still run up the county paved road once in awhile. I am open to buying a kits with eveything or parting out individual components. Maybe someone has some used tires and rims they want to get ride of to upgrade??? Thanks for helping the nube!!!! I am looking forward to getting going on this project -- looks like fun ![]() |

![]() Welcome to BGW. I'm still new at this and learning all the time myself.
I would say to go with a 4" lift at minimum and possibly 6. If it were me I would go with the heavy rear springs if you ever plan on any adults riding back there. Look around on the for sales and you're likely to find somehting you need. |

![]() I would go with a 6" lift, this way if you want 23" tires you can go that way, I would put heavy duty springs also in the rear, yes it will make it stiff but you will be glad you did. Jakes make a kit now that is similar to Allsports, and there CS is great.

![]() Thanks brushpup
I am wondering whether or not I should do the shocks on the cart while doing this work? HD springs I am going to put on and I can always take them off if I do not like the ride quality. Should I replace the shocks on the cart right away? Any recommendations on shocks? Is this a common item to replace on carts? |
