Runs slow only

I just finished fixing a burnt ground in my 2007 Fairplay XL . The #1 ground wire in the ten pin connector overheated and burnt the controller pin. There was a #10 gauge ground wire that had somehow been taken off the main negative and slid down between the batteries. I soldered a terminal onto the burnt pin and reconnected everything.
THE CART RUNS !!!
It goes both ways but now i have a different problem. When you push the throttle past half way the reverse beeper goes off and it won’t go in either direction. I have to toggle the tow/ run switch then it will run again until i push the throttle too far. I tried disconnecting the speed sensor but there was NO DIFFERENCE. Any ideas
