08 Fairplay Trouble Code says Low Temp???

Hello all. I have a 08 Fairplay and I believe it's a ZX 5.5 6 seater 48 volt with 1 year old US Battery 8volts (x6).
Carts runs and drives great when it wants to. Every now and then (and seemingly getting worse) after about 10-20 minutes of driving, as soon as I let completely off the accelerator, it will do the long beeps signaling that there is an error and won't move. Flipping Tow switch does nothing because it will just beep again until it sits long enough and then seems good again. Owners manual says to flip fwd/rvs switch six times and will give me the code (4 long and 7 short beeps) that low temp detected and to check for temp rise. Anyone have any clue how to check that or what to do? Have noticed accel pedal a little erratic. Also my battery charger always shuts off before my meter on cart says full. Thanks for any help.
