Default Problem with New Alltrax SR 500amp Controller

Hope I'm doing this right....First time on Forum. I have a 1996 Series Club Car DS and I recently installed an upgrade package with a New 500 amp Solenoid, SR 500amp Alltrax Controller and a New high speed/high torque motor from D&D.
While on jacks and key on, forward will barely run approx. 3-5 mph so it seems and reverse doesn't work at all. After some TS, placed original Curtis 225amp controller back on to eliminate issues with solenoid, motor ect. With Curtis, motor really fast and reverse works....
That being said, placed Alltrax back on and got out the computer and downloaded Alltrax app. Made a couple adjustments and barley improved speed
with no luck on having reverse work. Didn't want to go over my head on the app and do something catastrophic, so left it at default settings where it's at now. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Do you have diodes on your solenoid? Pull the diode off the small terminals of the solenoid and see if that solves your problem for now. Look back through my post history to find the thread I just started last week where I was having a similar problem.

The throttle setting may be incorrect. When set correctly the status LED will change from green to orange at full throttle. Your 96 may be 0-5k or 5k-0 depending upon when it was built / and from which pile they pulled throttle parts.

On jacks it is no harm to try different throttle settings. Don't forget to SET your selection to make it take.

I agree with scotty. Outside of a faulty controller, which is doubtful, the only thing that an SR would have different from your Curtis that could cause that issue would be the throttle setting. I am betting that you have a CVP (Constant Variable Potentiometer) on the '96 as my fathers does. We also call them a potbox. If not, you have a v-glide. Make sure it is a 3-wire (MSP) and not a 2-wire. They require different settings.
