I've got an 07 series cart w/ an Alltrax SR 500amp

Not really sure this is a customer's cart but i will tell you he has 28" tall all terrain tires! He is in a hilly neighborhood also

Ugh! 28" tires are a greater than 50% increase in size which results in an equal amount of torque reduction. The tire and the hills is a motor choking combo. Most off the shelf motor is not going to do well with this cart. An Admiral B4 motor may be up to the task, But I'm not sure.... that big of a tire changes everything!

Re: I've got an 07 series cart w/ an Alltrax SR 500amp
Speed change is based on the tire's circumference while torque change is based on the tire's radius, so going from 18" stock to 28" is a 55.6% change in speed with an accompanying 35.7% decrease in torque.
However, I suspect the All Terrain tires are the low pressure type with an aggressive tread, so they'll take a lot more torque to turn than road tires. Sounds like a custom motor from EMP is needed. |
