Best motor upgrade with 500amp controller
Hi,
I finally upgraded my cart to a 500A curtis. I want to upgrade my 91 marathon stock motor to increase torque and speed. I currently get around 18 mph but slow down to about 12 uphill. Any suggestions as to what would be the best upgrade? my current speed is not too bad and guess i need more torque.? Thanks.  |

If your new controller is capable 48 volts would be the biggest bang for your bucks.

It can be re programmed for 48v but i dont want to add the extra batteries just yet, just want to get the motor first, will do the 48v upgrade later...

I would use the Admiral B1 for more torque and about the same speed.

Hi, What is the difference between the A1 and B1 Admiral ?
I have found both for about the same price but the a1 has 10 hp vs b1 with 8 ? would they both fit a 91 marathon? |
