Default Electric Fuel Pump Conversion

I'm putting a low pressure electric fuel pump in my '84. I have the wiring figured out but need a suggestion for the best way to cap the vacuum line.

Just put a cap on it. You can find it hem at any parts store. My question is why? The vacuum pumps are totally reliable and cheap. Most lawnmowers operate with one. Electric fuel pumps unless you spend decent money for one are not that reliable. Just my cents from years of working on lawn equipment.

Make sure you get one with very low pressure, under 10 psi. Just put one on my big block Ezgo after trying a couple of new vacuum pumps without any luck.

I've purchased two vacuum pumps from different manufacturers and both leak. Not too reliable in my opinion.

That should be fine.

I ran into a problem with fuel supply on my big block Subaru 25 hp twin where it would starve for fuel at extended periods of wide open throttle. Tried a new vacuum pump, same problem. Electric pump solved the issue.

I convert every machine that I can do an electric pump. You never have to worry about priming the line. Heck, a lot of the time you don't even have to worry about choking. You don't have to worry about small vacuum leaks. There are no vacuum pump diaphragms to go bad. Troubleshooting is simple; the pump is either working or not. With vacuum pumps, there are things other than the pump itself that will cause it to work inefficiently. There is a steady stream of fuel to the carb rather than spurts.

It's a no brainer to me.
