Default 48V Drive Issues. Speed senor?

I'm working on a 48V Drive. It's not running.

I've noticed if I cycle the tow/run switch and hit the accel pedal it will briefly try to move, almost makes a "groaning sound" then stops and will not try to move again until the tow/run is cycled again. The groaning doesn't sound like anything mechanical, such as brakes hung up. Sounds like it's electronic if that makes any sense.

It reminds me of when a speed sensor fails on an Ezgo RXV. Wondering if anyone can point me in a direction.

Thanks for any insight!

Have you tried tapping on the motor cap with a hammer and trying it again....what you are describing sounds like the brushes in the motor are sticking...If tapping on it gets it operating normally again until it gets hot you know that's the problem without much troubleshooting...That also sounds like the solenoid could be dropping out so if not motor I would try reading voltage across solenoid and across battery pack for bad cable/battery...

You don't say if the solenoid clicks when you push the pedal or not. If it does, then it's probably the motor brushes are shot. Does not sound like a speed sensor. To test speed sensor, you push the cart when in the "run" position of the run/tow switch. It should beep and resist moving.
