Re: RXV Controller tuning near Scottsdale, AZ

I couldn't think of anyone else out there that knows how to do what we do. I've been fighting a few new laptops that I bought recently to update my mobile programming stations. I use Linux and run a virtual environment to keep the software from ever talking to the internet. The USB ports are locked from being accessed to prevent files from entering or leaving via that method. I set up a USB firewall keyed to the 1309 interface to allow it, and only it, to communicate with the outside world. Set up so I must use a USB key to allow me to log in. All in all, a heck of a lot more secure than the Dominion voting machines. The biggest problem is... these new laptops have lots of driver issues when modern software is expected to virtually interface with real legacy hardware. The modern day savants have no clue what legacy hardware really is. They think legacy means something up to a year old, not something up to a decade old! Bob |
