I'd love to see a BRAKE light build! I've tried micro switches and all kinds of stuff but they don't work like real brake lights. Anybody ever done this on a Yamaha G-9?

I do my carts brakes lights with micro switches, 2 of them, one for activation, the other for parking brake to turn them off, will try to post pictures later, so far ms's working fine for 3+ years zero flaw, rainy, muddy and salty environment

Do you have a wiring diagram or switch numbers? I've tried various but can't get them to turn off after brakes are applied or park brake is set. Made several brkt's to mount them but still having nothing to show for my effort.

I did never installed them on a Yamaha... but if you send me some pics of the brake arm and locking/park arm I can give you some tips and post pictures for you of the ezgo's I have here with this installed... you basically have to put the mswitches on series, i will draw a fast diagram of this and post it.

I posted few pics on a thread on where I put the brake switch off when applying parking so brake lights does not stay on. This is an ezgo related thread but I am sure it can be adapted to Yamis no problem, this can enlighten a little...

Check the thread: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...t-install.html

I use something like this:

You can check on your local electronic parts supplier. Those ones suits me right for ezgo but other models could apply better for installation on your cart. I can't remember exactly how the Yami you have looks like on the brake arms, so if you take pics I can help to locate the micros.

So far the wiring is simple like this

This is what I used on my g22, works great!!! Includes timer to turn off the lights after 30sec.
