Default G9 Plug Cap

Last night (while awaiting my tow from the river) I noticed I have spark coming from my plug cap. I thought I could just replace it from the coil to the plug with a regular spark plug wire. Guess not. I know the plug cap is it's own part but how to replace it or do you have to buy a new coil with the wire. It looks like that wire should come out but I dont know for sure. Any ideas on how or what to fix. Thanks

Actually, the spark plug cap "unscrews" from the coil wire. Many times with an ignition problem I will unscrew the cap, use dikes to cut the coil wire back some, usually about 1/4 inch or so (to get a nice clean end) and rescrew the cap back on and it fixes the problem. Good luck Dave
