VC 625cc exhaust
We just bought an EZGO cart that has a Vegas carts 625cc (23hp) motor in it. The exhaust is pretty loud. Any ideas how to quiet it down a bit?

Re: VC 625cc exhaust
Read through this post, https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/show...exhaust&page=3, it is for the VC460 that Vegas Carts had before the 625. You might get some good ideas there. I used a Walker 22229 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Walker-Exha...y/274408501265) muffler and a Super Trapp tuneable spark arrestor with a resonator to get my VC460 quiet enough for the campground. I'll post a picture later when I get home.

Re: VC 625cc exhaust
Yep, big power comes with big sound.
I used a muffer from an atv, it worked pretty good, sounded nice. It was from a Yamaha Raptor atv. I paid $40 on ebay. Currently I'm using this muffler and it sounds great. There are different models with more baffles and packing that will be quieter. It's a muffler from a Thermo King generator for semi trucks. Google "Thermo King Tripac APU Muffler". They are designed to be quiet so the operator in the semi can sleep at night lol. $65 at Rural King. |

Re: VC 625cc exhaust
Did you mount the thermo king muffler to the pipe, or just take the pipe off and straight mount it?

Re: VC 625cc exhaust
I have a Vtwin so I have a two into one header that goes back to a ss flex pipe then into the muffler. I now have a turn down on the end of the pipe.

Re: VC 625cc exhaust
I don't have as much room, but I'll see if I can squeeze something in it.
