The GF isn't the boss but she would probably like to be. I am still sort of employed as a consultant. When I seen that B&S dissolved their manufacturing partnership with Daihatsu in Japan for the Vanguards in 2017 I have been looking under the hoods of new lawn tractors for sale. A whole of of Kohlers on the lower end and Kawasaki's on the higher end.

Wow that really sucks. I didn't read the whole article....are they completely shut down? Or are they operating under bankruptcy?

Hopefully they can restructure with a partner and get out of this. Hate to see another American company/household name go down the drain.

I have always liked their products.

I think somebody will end up with the name like what happened with Craftsman and Die Hard BUT probably not the present company . And probably not for some time.

Operating under bankruptcy, actually in the process of moving from Wisconsin to New York State.

Brigg's was the "Workhorse" of the small engines. Tough, strong, and if they broke it was usually something the average guy could fix.

When I was a kid I had a twin engine go kart with two Brigg's engines on it. My friends and I beat the snot outta that cart and like a Timex.....it took a licking and kept on ticking!!

What the hell are they moving here for? New York is over taxed. If my children hadn't rooted themselves here l'd sell our house and move on. I don't know where the grass is any greener -- but New York -- what were they thinking?
