Default UTV roof for Club Car???

Really hate the look of the pre-2000 DS roof I have and was wondering if anyone found or tried a universal UTV roof, like Kolpin, that will work with a DS???

I really like the look of this roof;
Amazon.com: Guide Gear Deluxe UTV Roof: Automotive Amazon.com: Guide Gear Deluxe UTV Roof: Automotive
but it seems too wide and not long enough to look right over a DS.

Any suggestions beside trying a Precedent or newer DS roof?

You will need a roof at least 3-4 feet in length and about 4 feet wide. I would look towards some of the razor roofs or some of Polaris or,Kawasaki off road vehicles and you might find an option. Problem is the dimensions in width must be correct unless you fabricate your own roof struts.

to me it would be to small to use the one you link to . I to hate the pre 2000 roofs on the DS. I went with a precedent roof , got it for 40.00 plus supports couldnt pass it up. It will be interesting to see if you find something else.

Yeah, a lot of the UTV roofs are 50+" wide but only 40+" long. It' s almost as if I could find a universal roof that would look good "sideways", I could figure a way to mound it like that since it would be close to the 56"x 43" I'll need. The search is still on.

I did find a guy a few miles away that has a Precedent roof for $35. I'll be in his neck of the woods Sunday and told my wife if he still has it then, I'd get it and see what I can fab up. Anything but this flimsy pre-2000 roof has to be better.

Is the precedent roof thick enough that I could secure a 22" light bar to it?

I made mine out of FRP.... or fiberglass reinforced plywood. It's black fiberglass on top, white on the bottom, then I painted the edges with black Plastidip, mounted a roof rack on top. Works great.

Have you had any problems with water draining onto your cart? I have a rear seat kit, do you see any problems with potential rear passengers getting wet?
