Default filling holes in a ezgo body

I am wanting to remove the scuff guards on the rear fenders on my 96 ezgo with the plastic body.I see a couple guys have done this and need to know what to use to plug the roughly 5/16'' holes so they won't show up later. Thanks for any and all info!

Common body filler (Bondo) should work fine, although I have not done it.

chrome button head bolts or they make chrome caps/plugs that pop in the hole.

If you want to flush the holes out you should use two part plastic epoxy. Just clean the holes good and scuff the top and backside about 1" around the hole, on the back smooth some epoxy around where you scuffed it then apply duct tape. You then go to the top side and fill the remainder of the hole, fill it just a bit higher so you can sand it flush. Mow it will shrink a little so if you can wait to sand it for a couple days that would be great. You then sand and apply adhesion promoter then primer. Or you could just go with the plugs as JLhog suggested that way you don't have to woryy about the shrinkage issue.
