![]() 2006 EZGO PDS TXT 36 VOLT
Just got my cart working right and what do you know, another problem. While driving around the neighborhood at 15-17 mph I stopped to talk to someone and when I went to go it wouldn't go any faster than 5mph. Before I made it 1 block home it completely stopped. 1. I waited a few minutes, switched from run to tow back to run and it still didn't go more than 5 mph. 2. I got it home and put it on jack stands to go through some of the test I learned recently. 3. When I first pushed the pedal it did nothing. 4. When I switched the F & R switch to reverse it went in reverse. 5. Switched back to forward and it started running but made a scraping sound as if the brakes were scraping. 6. On further inspection I noticed only the drivers side back wheel moving. 7. With the pedal down the passenger side would not move even with a little help. 8. With no pedal the passenger side still wouldn't turn. 9. After it set a while with switch in the off position both wheels would turn by hand but the passenger side was more difficult. 10. The solenoid was warm to the touch and the controller was NOT warm at all. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |

![]() Bad batteries is the most likely problem here.

![]() Batteries are new, 6.3 volts each and 38.7 pack. I'm thinking something came loose in the hub or the brake is jammed up. I was thinking maybe the brake came loose and this is causing resistance and causing the over amp on the solenoid contacts. ???? But wouldn't that make the controller hot? I'll pull the wheel tomorrow and see what happens.

![]() The bearing in the axle tube could be shot and would cause lots of noise, maybe some binding. YOu'd be almost able to just pull the axle out without much effort.
