Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
Yes the dowel pins are for ring alignment and the ring gap goes where that pin is.
I don’t know if these rings are directional with a top/bottom side of each ring or not, I’d check into that before putting everything in though. And make sure not to install the piston backwards |

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
They are known as Keystone rings. The bevel side goes up
You will find the manual in post #22. https://buggiesgonewild.com/showthre...=105501&page=3 |

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
Just want to confirm that the window on the piston goes towards the intake side (away from exhaust port).

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
I’ll always remember that now. Do it backwards and it will just sputter and backfire but not run. Guess how I know.

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
Seeing some conflicting torque specs on drive clutch bolt. This is one I don't want to over tighten. Anyone got the numbers on hand? Thinking of using some orange (removable) loctite.

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
I just use the German torque spec “gudentite”
When the impact gun starts going “tat tat tat tat tat” I know it’s gudentite |

Re: ISO: 2PG rebuild kit
I started with my torque wrench, but was having trouble holding the crank in place. So I gave her a few smacks with the 3/8" Dewalt impact. Cart is now running and driving pretty well. Much better than my lifted 3PG cart!
