Yes the dowel pins are for ring alignment and the ring gap goes where that pin is.

I don’t know if these rings are directional with a top/bottom side of each ring or not, I’d check into that before putting everything in though.

And make sure not to install the piston backwards

They are known as Keystone rings. The bevel side goes up

You will find the manual in post #22. https://buggiesgonewild.com/showthre...=105501&page=3

Just want to confirm that the window on the piston goes towards the intake side (away from exhaust port).

Yes, the “window” in the side of the piston goes towards the intake/carb

I’ll always remember that now. Do it backwards and it will just sputter and backfire but not run. Guess how I know.

Seeing some conflicting torque specs on drive clutch bolt. This is one I don't want to over tighten. Anyone got the numbers on hand? Thinking of using some orange (removable) loctite.

That's what I read as well in another post (not the manual, my bad), just seemed high to me. Thanks!

I just use the German torque spec “gudentite”

When the impact gun starts going “tat tat tat tat tat” I know it’s gudentite

I started with my torque wrench, but was having trouble holding the crank in place. So I gave her a few smacks with the 3/8" Dewalt impact. Cart is now running and driving pretty well. Much better than my lifted 3PG cart!
