After cutting off the Moke factory radio harness and making the new wire connections, the Fusion slides right in.

It's actually an unbelievably perfect fit. Tight enough to hold it in place firmly. It's not very secure so I will be reinforcing it. Power works, speakers work, antenna works.

Sound is greatly improved even with the factory speakers. Bluetooth is very simple and, in my experience with Fusion on boats, pretty robust and trouble free.Their app is adequate & simple.

I don't have the tools at the beach to reinforce the mount so I'll do that this week at home and post up when I finish.

So much better already. All it's missing is a USB port to charge a phone but I'll add that too.

Backplate install to secure the head unit to the dash panel.

Backplate needed to be cut to fit.

Moke dash panel needed two small notches so the screws for the backplate would fit.

Zip tied and Tesa taped the wiring harness.

Install is done with a plan to secure the radio a little better and then install the USB charge port, and find some speakers that fit.

This post was extremely informative. I am planning to upgrade my stereo. Did you end up changing the speakers? What speakers did you go with? Also, is there any good way to add speakers in the back and a better Bluetooth mic?

We ended up doing a bunch of traveling and I haven't had a lot of time for this. Plan to order some speakers this week to replace the fronts. Have to say though, it's drastically better just with the new head unit. Much cleaner power.

You could probably mount some wakeboard boat speakers on the rear cage. The amp would power them but I think they're a little too big. https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/searc...k%20surface%20

Finally getting around to adding onboard USB charging.

I wanted it to be easily removable and replaceable to accommodate future changes to cables and or possible failure of this aftermarket component.

Bought this charger with input voltage display that switches to display output wattage when something is plugged in.

Did not want to run any new power wires so I'm tapping the fuse block with this. My Moke uses ATM mini fuses.

The charger already has an inline F10AL250V fast-blow 10 amp 250 volt glass fuse. I'm still going to use that + the ATM mini fuse in the block.

Because I only had 15 amp mini fuses, I'm rough-fitting this with a 15 amp mini to test it. The final install will use a 10 amp mini to match the glass fuse.

Here's the tap plugged in. Again, this is a temporary 15 amp mini fuses and the permanent fuse will be a 10 amp circuit with a permanent wire connector.

Here's the neutral side grounded to the body (black wire on the right behind the bolt).

And here it is temporary just hanging there but working perfectly. It's fast-charge capable.

Will be mounting this in a few days. Just wanted to make sure it works before I cut the plastic on the dash.
