![]() Hey All,
I have a 2003 Club Car DS and i've added the required street legal features. I'm trying to go through the process of registering with the NCDMV and unfortunately they say there isn't a way to do that. My neighbor has done it on a cart without an original VIN but unfortunately does not remember how he did it. Can anyone offer any direction on where I need to start? Thanks! |

![]() According to the DMV site it must be done by a "licensed manufacturer". Not sure if there is a way around it or if anyone will do this as a service for privately owned carts. I see a lot of them at the coast with tags on them though...
A licensed manufacturer must be the one to upfit a golf cart to a Low-Speed Vehicle. To include issuing a 17-digit and character vehicle identification number, a Manufacture Certificate Origin and meet all National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, N.C. General Statute and N.C. Administrative Code requirements for a low-speed vehicle https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/title-regi...cle-types.aspx |
