Default another suspension question

I've read where some remove rear shocks on Club Car DS to soften ride and make room for larger motors. I also saw where someone removed upper leaf spring on a new Onward sport to soften ride. Are either of these feasible on the I20/EV1s ???

Nothing can be changed to improve the ride

It may happen still....

Not long ago there were zero if any accesories for ICON..when low
and behold floor mats made for ICON got 1 fits great.

It seems to me that as popular as ICONs are becoming with many thousand
sold since 2019 ....that some entrepreneur would see the need for
softer shocks and produce them...

So somewhere in time it will happen!!

Happy Cartin'

I need a stiffer ride myself. I have an i40L and when I get 4 people on it at high speeds, the thing wobbles back/forth between the lanes and can be pretty dangerous.

Not sure what to replace to fix that though?

Lowering the tire pressure from what the dealer set it at (35 psig) to 14 front and 18 rear, completely changed the handling charecteristics around. Gone is the squirrelly ride, bone jarring stiffness and now you can take your hands off the wheel without turning into something. My wife loves driving it now.

I run 18 lbs. Flat spot every morning. Have you tried taking it off road such as a golf course? Still very rough. Better yes, but still jarring

Yes I get flat spots also, but are gone after about 2 blocks. Go golfing with it too, have the low profile street tires. 18 was too high for my fronts, at 16 the ride started to soften up and at 14 obtained best ride and handling. Not very far from what I ran on the Kart.

I just changed out the horrible original Wanda tires with some 205/65-10 steel belted radials. My i40F is non lifted so I do get a slight rubbing, but only when making very slow tight turns. Otherwise the ride is night and day. I'm still testing various inflation settings, have tried several between 19 to 25. More rubbing at the higher levels, and as of now it seems that around 20 psi is the sweet spot.

Either stiffen the rear or add weight to the front.

Hey @Becker135; did you mount the new tires on your stock 10” rims? I also have a i40, and want larger tires for a little softer ride and maybe extra mile or two.

Thanks for any info.
