Default How to make your own ICON programming cable

By request, here's a quick video I made on how to make your own ICON programming cable. You still need the proprietary ICON software, which isn't public so you'll have to ask your dealer or ICON for it (not me, sorry).

It was freezing in my garage and I was rushing to make the video short because I hate watching 20+ min videos to get a small amount of information, so for criticism keep that in mind

Love this. Thanks for posting. Plan on emailing icon and asking for a copy. Worst case I get a “no” no one in a few hours from here in GA that I’ve found willing to do it for me.

Glad to help! You might try just talking your local dealer into letting you copy the software and tell him you've already got a programming cable and used the "NEOS software" before. If you talk-the-talk he might think "ah ok sure".

I'm sure it'll get posted on here eventually.

Just came across this, you’ve commented on my other posts about increasing torque in my icon i60L. Curious, instead of getting a 600a controller (which is probably overkill to be honest), if I can get the software which I downloaded already just need to try and install it still, can I just adjust the torque with the software in the stock 350a controller and get more out of it, or is it pretty much maxed out for the amperage it has? Would obviously be much cheaper to adjust the existing controller and purchase a cable from you on Amazon if that will work. Not sure if anyone’s done or tried it and how successful and about how much difference it made with a 350 amp controller. Thanks for any info/feedback!

Atrain, just loaded the software and ordered the RS232 to Molex from Amazon. The last part is the CAN:CANUSB from CANUSBshop by Imagecraft correct? There is no "CAN open API" software needed to program the cart, right?

Please reply
