Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
I can’t recover them the same because they have buttons in them.

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
Dont be afraid to try it yourself. Worst case, that's a *very* easy job for an upholstery shop or anyone that knows how to do upholstery. It's a square seat with some buttons.
Here's a decent little write up. I'd use something heavier than wax string for a golf cart, but gives you the general idea of how they work. Best part is, doesnt really matter as much what's behind the seat because it is covered up :) https://bestfabricstore.com/blog/how...ion-or-pillow/ |

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
I got new brakes on the cart with new adjusters, pads, and newer hubs. Nice to not see the brake pedal stuck down.
Still waiting on the controller and a new end cap from D&D (I broke my brush holder!) I also finally got around to getting into the front cooler area. I was surprised to find, under all the roach droppings, the complete original enclosure in remarkably good shape. The Velcro on the cart is shot, but I’ll replace it after the body work on the cart is done. Club Car DS driver’s club #59 |

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
Lol I know the feeling! Didnt know that was a huge trunk on the front of that thing that's super cool. If it weren't so ugly I might want one lol

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
It won’t be ugly when I’m done with it. I tested all the lights and stuff and I was pleasantly surprised. Almost everything works.

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
Got a ton of wiring and installation done today. Got my new motor end cap from D&D too. I’m hoping to get batteries tomorrow.

Re: Yamaha G3E Sun Classic rebuild
Local shop was supposed to get 8v batteries today but didn’t get them before they closed. He said tomorrow morning they should have them. Hopefully I can pick them up tomorrow.
