roady, what rpm is it going to turn ? High speed gears in the future or you going for the torque monster ??

I built an engine run stand to break these egines in after they're built. Mine specifically. Lol! We used a hydraulic pump to apply the load then Decided to throw on a hydraulic flowmeter and you got a makeshift dyno. It wont do torque....yet. The problem i had was the pump was rated for 1800-2000 rpm max if that. The engine turns double that. Pump cavitated real bad. So I found a 3 speed transmission to gear down the new pump and keep the rpms on the engine up. The transmission is not for the cart.
Its a crude way to gauge hp but it works. Mainly to load during break in. |
