Question G2 Driven Clutch

G2 driven clutch gone bad will a clutch off of a G1 WORK? Or will I need to get a G2 replacement.

G1 clutch will not work, 2 stroke vs 4 stroke. Depending on what's bad on your clutch, it may be repairable, otherwise you need a clutch for a g2 to g16.

It's past the point of repair. Guess I'am in the market for for a clutch. One more guestion is the G2 a pos. or a neg. ground?

Neg but the frame is not ground like a car, that is why you wire grounds back to the battery....if that applies to what you are doing.

You can buy half the secondary sheave if you have a good steel half, that is what I did. The aluminum wears out from sand on the belt but the steel holds up. And you can get a machined one if you want. I don't recall if I got it from CPP or not but some of it was. I also did the same thing on the primary.

I think the G1 driven clutch is the same as a G2-G9. I had a G9 and it had the ramp shoes on both sides.

I've never seen a G9/G2 with ramps on both sides.
