Differential oil for 85 ez go????

I was wondering how much gear oil I should put in my 1985 electric ez go? Should I fill until it comes out of the fill hole on top of the differential? I'm not sure how much was in it, but I've already put in a quart and I still don't see any oil in the plug hole. Any info is appreciated!

30 w motor oil fill/ck plug should be half way up the rear end cover.
