Default Clutch problem

Ok I figured out the the clutch is not always disengaging so when I stop and try to take off again its stuck at where it should be in high speed and jerks me around. What should I do? Why would it not disengage all the time?

It sounds like a problem i had. It could be the roller collars in the clutch assembely. they get worn out and out of round and cause the weights to become stuck, not allowing thr clutch to disengage.

Yeah it is the rollers. did you replace them or did you get a new clutch?

I replaced them. It was cheaper. It was a little tricky to take apart but not too difficult. I used a three jaw puller to remove the clutch and creatively used 2 pipe wrenches to remove the top end of the clutch assembly so the roller pins could be removed. it was a piece of cake to re-instal and runs like new

So all and all its not super hard to do? I was debating on just buying a new clutch but don't really have the money. So if you say its not that hard I will try it. Thanks for the help Jason
