Default 1994 JJ3 Utility No Spark

Hi I have a 94 Yamaha ser #JJ3-100677 utility
Driving it last fall it stopped. I checked gas changed plug checked plug. No spark
Had a spare coil changed coil, No spark
Someone said it must be CDI (igniter) got a new one, No Spark
Changed pickup under rotor, No spark
Am working my way thru the wiring for that lost broken wire but have a couple questions.
1. should I get 12 volts at the coil only when I press the gas pedal to start?
2 if I am getting 12 volts at coil does this mean the pedal switch is good?
3 what is a good resistance for the coil and how do I measure it?
4 how do I check the pickup and what is a good range for this?

and the last question if all these are good what else could it be?

Sorry to bother everyone it should be so simple but this is eluding me.
I'm spending so much time on it my wife thinks ive left her
Thanks

You should have a look at the maintenance manual
