Performance upgrade
To maximize the overall performance (torque, speed, power, etc.) of a gas powered EZ GO, say a 95 or newer model, without exceeding the recommended RPM limits and damaging the engine, what are the "do it yourself" mods, tweeks, tricks, adjustments and/or parts needed to achieve this? I have read that the rear (Driven) clutch is an item that could use some attention, especially when climbing hills. Also, If you did swap engines for a larger more powerful one, is there a preferred engine for ease of installation and least amount of modifications on an EZ GO, same year range as above? Thanks for any and all help.

This spring will help keep it in "low gear" longer during acceleration. It just makes the driven clutch harder to compress so it must have more tension (more RPMs (more power)) to get into a higher gear.
