Valence U1-12RT u-charge Lithium batteries

Hello guys. I just purchased 4 Valence U1-12RT u-charge Lithium batteries. I want to try to convert my 48v. I could really use some guidance. Does any know the proper way to set it up? Can I use my Club Car 48v charger?

I recently saw someone else use a set of those for a cart. Those were designed for hospital computer carts, personally I would be very concerned about the maximum and sustained discharge capacities, "Discharge current: 30A (80A for 30 sec.)". FWIW I typically see my cart pulling 40-65 amps running on flat paved roads with surges over 300 amps. They look like a great batteries for trolling motors and kayaks but I would hesitate to use them on heavier golf carts with high amperage motors. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. Not heavy duty enough for a golf cart application.

From my understanding(limited) other companies sell lithium kits with 12v 60ah. they get 30 - 40 miles per charge

I assume the only problem would be the running time. But it will also charge faster. I'm going to buy the external BMS to manage the charging. Should I be worried about over heating them because of the high amp motor? I know Club car new lithium cart has a AC motor with less amp draw.

I have 120AH Leaf and I doubt that you will get 30 miles on 60AH with any margin. I easily get 40 miles with 120AH but I don't push it on charge or discharge. I recommend having excess capacity with Lithium because you can never over discharge Lithium packs without damaging them.
